Basically, it is an alternative to using dental wired braces. Dental clinics all over the world have already adopted this treatment. You can look for an Invisalign dentist Calgary SE based located near you.

What is Invisalign Treatment?

The Invisalign straightens teeth using transparent, removable and customized aligners to fit your teeth perfectly. The aligner is replaced every two weeks, so you can track the progress and positioning of your teeth. The Invisalign is comfortable, proven to be effective and is widely used by more than 3 million patients worldwide.

The aligners are designed with smooth and nearly invisible plastic materials that are worn over your teeth. Unlike dental braces, aligners have no wires or metal brackets. This takes away the inconvenient and uncomfortable wires that sometimes scrape our gums and inner cheeks. You just need to change your aligners every two weeks until you complete the treatment.

If you are thinking of getting an Invisalign treatment, look for an Invisalign dentist Calgary SE dental clinic service. Find a professional dentist that is well-trained and experienced in Invisalign treatment. Visit the dentist for a consultation and check-up. You can set an appointment with different dentists so you can gauge whom you feel most comfortable with.

Discuss with your dentist or orthodontist if this is the best procedure for your dental condition. Your specialist will be able to determine if you are viable for Invisalign treatment. Consult and ask your dentist about dental insurance and costs.

Based on your x-rays and teeth impressions, your dentist will design a customized treatment for you. A 3D image will serve as your dentist’s guide so that he can determine the movement of your teeth and calculate the length of treatment. It usually takes an average of one year to complete the procedure.

Why you Should Consider it

As you change your aligners every two weeks, you will notice the gradual shift of your teeth.  Your dentist will be able to track your progress and give you an evaluation every one and a half month. Invisalign can correct different types of dental problems including crooked teeth, gapped teeth, overcrowded teeth, overbite, underbite or crossbite.

The aligners are manufactured using BPA-free plastic material. It’s easy to wear and won’t irritate your cheeks and gums. You can just take it off every time you eat or brush your teeth. It is recommended that you use your aligners from 20 to 22 hours a day to achieve better results.

Aligners are easy to clean. You can use an Invisalign cleaning kit or brush it with lukewarm water. Since you can remove it when eating, you can continue with your normal food intake without having to worry if your food will get stuck in your braces. For sports activities, you can continue to use it or opt to change it temporarily for a mouth guard as needed.

As you can see there are many advantages and benefits to using Invisalign treatment. It is more convenient to use than the regular dental braces that have wires and metal brackets. Check with your local Invisalign dentist Calgary SE offers.

Tom Lewis interviewed by Les Huyton from Well in Health Clinic https://snyb.ca/2016/06/30/tom-lewis-interviewed-by-les-huyton-from-well-in-health-clinic/ https://snyb.ca/2016/06/30/tom-lewis-interviewed-by-les-huyton-from-well-in-health-clinic/#respond Thu, 30 Jun 2016 10:04:29 +0000 https://snyb.ca/?p=2301 Tom Lewis, the European Professional Golfer kindly agreed to be interviewed by
Les Huyton from Well in Health Clinic at the Welwyn Garden City Golf course.

The interview is based around what Tom Lewis does to stay fit and healthy before and during  golf matches and has some great tips on how he does this. He also has some common sense recommendations for club golfers.

It has always been Tom Lewis’s dream to become a professional European Tour Golfer and this has happened sooner than he thought. When asked about his exercise regime he mentions that he uses the gym, but has different regimes for when on tour and most importantly listens to his body. This is good advice for us all! Some days you wake up and just know you are raring to go and can therefore do more exercise than others he says.

Tom Lewis doesn’t use any golf devices for fitness, such as the ones Angel Jimenez demonstrates, but says Jimenez needs to stay incredibly flexible because of his massive swing. Tom also acknowledges that golfers are entertainers and Jimenez certainly does that.

Tom Lewis himself always prepares well before playing golf and gives himself enough time to be able to do this consistently. This also includes eating a good breakfast to get the blood flowing. He assesses how loose or tight his muscles are and may include extra exercises should he have tightness anywhere in his body. His tips for club golfers are to  always have 30 minutes before play to hit 30 or so balls with a variety of clubs and also to do some putting.  He suggests that you also do some longer putts of about 20-30 feet. This gets you warmed up and gives you confidence to play he says. One great suggestion is to do this with friends or who you are going to play with that day. Arranging to meet up 30 minutes beforehand with them, will probably help us all to actually do the warm-up and not just jump out of the car and rush to the first tee. Tom says ‘you will be surprised how well you will play and how you become more consistent, if you just do this.’

Asked about nutrition, Tom Lewis doesn’t eat whilst on the course, as he tends to ‘zone in rather than out’ but importantly stays hydrated mostly with water, but also with isotonic drinks. The hotter the weather the more crucial this is. He would recommend a nutrition bar if you have to eat something.

When asked about preventing golf injuries, Tom immediately says “warming up is a top priority and especially if the weather is cold”. I agree that going straight onto a course to play when cold can be a great contributor to injury and is often the story I get when golfers turn up at the clinic for treatment.

Tom has more advice for golfers, which is to get into the habit of doing the same core warm-up regime before playing, so that you know that it is the challenge of the golf course affecting your score rather than your physical and mental preparation. He also advises that staying relaxed is key.

The Alpha Stim SCS is a device that can help get you into the zone, it helps by gently increasing Alpha Waves (the relaxing brain waves) and decreasing Beta waves so that you are alert but relaxed, the very definition of being in the zone.

You can follow Tom Lewis on the European Golf Tour  website

Yoga on Sports Clinic https://snyb.ca/2016/04/28/yoga-on-sports-clinic/ https://snyb.ca/2016/04/28/yoga-on-sports-clinic/#respond Thu, 28 Apr 2016 10:01:51 +0000 https://snyb.ca/?p=2299 DhanurAsana   Halasana

This has to be my favourite subject to talk about and keep on talking. Yoga happened to me because of two reasons, one my sister who is the model of spirituality, the most simplest person on the planet. Let me stop talking about my sister cause she herself is a series of Books. And the second reason is my professional hunger of learning something new. The hungry crow inside me has been the reason for my hunger to acquire more and more knowledge. And thats been one reason why i have been able to always stand out in the crowd. I thank my Mom for instilling the Spirit of Knowledge and the importance of Learning.

Back in 1999 when i was a working as a Gym Instructor, i decided to take this plunge into learning Yoga. I went to Bangalore at Vivekananda Kendra with very few expectations from Yoga. When you are on a High from weight training everything else seems small. So i was expecting to learn some stretching exercises and come back to Mumbai. But what i learnt was Life changing. Yoga is so vast and self satisfying knowledge. The knowledge that was given to us thousands of years back is still as fresh as a flower and the fragrance that it spreads keep changing lives Positively.

Yoga means Yuj. That is the Root word from sanskrit. Yuj means Joining. In yoga the joining (Yuj) represents the union of “Mind and Body”, “Atma and Parmatma”, i.e Union of Soul with Universal Soul”

The Journey that i have had on the path of yoga has been the best time of my life so far! You got to experience the Life of Yoga by starting it first. Take a first step towards Yoga and let the path of Yoga unfold upon you the secret to happiness that lies within. And if you are already practicing yoga, you know exactly what i am talking about. Hari Aum!

Detroit sports legend Bob Probert dies https://snyb.ca/2016/03/28/detroit-sports-legend-bob-probert-dies/ https://snyb.ca/2016/03/28/detroit-sports-legend-bob-probert-dies/#respond Mon, 28 Mar 2016 10:00:11 +0000 https://snyb.ca/?p=2297 Detroit lost another sports legend yesterday when NHL All-Star forward and one of the league’s top enforcers, Bob Probert, died at the age of 45. Probert apparently suffered a heart attack after complaining of chest pains while out boating.

Probert, who was drafted by the Wings in the third round (46th overall) in 1983 skated in Detroit from 1985-94 before making his way to the Chicago Blackhawks.

The rugged left winger was 6-ft-3-in. and packed one of the hardest punches in the history of the game. But along with his ability to go toe-to-toe with the best of them, Probert also brought enough skill to his game to make the All-Star in 1988, a year he tallied 29 goals and 62 points although he spent 398 minutes in the penalty box.

His career stats are impressive considering his role on the teams too. His career stats include 384 points (163 goals, 221 assists) in 935 regular-season games and 3,300 penalty minutes, 5th most in NHL history.

Probert’s career hit more than a few bumps in the road though. With a laundry-list of arrests and violations over the years, his worst run-in with law officials landed him in federal prison for a three-month period when he was caught trying to smuggle cocaine over the U.S. and Canadian border. The arrest also landed him a one-year suspension from the NHL.

Back to his time on the ice, Probert, in 1988 the winger broke Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe’s record of 20 playoff point in a season when he tallied 21.

Of all of his brawls, the most famous may be his duels with friend andformer teammate Joey Kocur and his minute and a half slugfest he got into with Pittsburgh Penguin player Marty McSorley. You can see that fight here.

Mr. Probert, R.I.P. along with two other Detroit sports’ icons who have been lost recently, Mark “The Bird” Fidrych and Ernie Harwell.

2011 U13 Steve Nash Youth Challenge Summary https://snyb.ca/2016/03/11/2011-u13-steve-nash-youth-challenge-summary/ https://snyb.ca/2016/03/11/2011-u13-steve-nash-youth-challenge-summary/#respond Fri, 11 Mar 2016 14:39:11 +0000 https://snyb.ca/?p=2279 This past weekend the Basketball BC U13 Steve Nash Youth Challenge took place at the Langley Events Centre.  The event featured 10 boy’s teams and 7 girls’ teams squaring off in their respective tournaments.  In addition to the standard tournament, Basketball BC welcomed the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society (BCWBS) into the festivities to participate in 4 exhibition games.  2 of these games were played against Basketball BC tournament teams and 2 were games against other wheelchair basketball teams.  The inclusion of Wheelchair Basketball into the event made for a unique experience for many individuals, who gained valuable insight and experience into the challenging sport.  Thanks go out to Makiko Harada for doing a great job coordinating on behalf of the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society.

The Steve Nash Youth Challenge is an U13 tournament specifically designed for teams that are enrolled in the Steve Nash Youth Basketball Program across BC.  This year’s event featured teams all the way from Vanderhoof to right next door in North Langley.   The tournament featured many exciting, highly competitive games which concluded with championship games for both genders on Sunday.  In the Boys A division, the reigning Basketball BC U13 Metro League “B” division championships from North Langley (NLBA) managed to finish round robin play undefeated and went on to defeat RYBL by a score of 46-40 to claim Gold.  In the B division final, TCYBA’s Banting Beastz showed resilience by defeating North Langley 63-56 in the final.  Earlier in the tournament they had lost to that same North Langley squad so congratulations are in order for showing such resolve.

On the girl’s side, the tournament started off with a bang as TCYBA took on Delbrook in a game which went down to the wire.  After a back and forth affair, Delbrook managed to hang on to defeat TCYBA by a score of 54-49.  As the tournament progressed, a rematch was set between the same 2 team, this time for the gold medal.  Again a close, thrilling game occurred and Delbrook once again narrowly edged TCYBA 45-40 to claim 1st in the Steve Nash Challenge.  Congratulations to TCYBA as well for showing great hustle, skill and team effort in what should be considered a great showing.

The event was deemed a great success as many enjoyed the spectacular facility the games were held at.  The crowds were alive and competition was fierce, which attributed to great experience for everyone involved.  Thanks to all players, coaches and parents who helped put on a sensational tournament and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s Basketball BC U13 Steve Nash Youth Challenge!
