  1. Meadowvale

Meadowvale Village is located off of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Highway 401. It has a variety of affordable rental units including condos, basement apartments, detached homes and townhouses. The GO station for Meadowdale is also a major transit hub that connects to Union Station and York University. Meadowvale Town Centre is a large shopping centre that also acts as the second largest hub after Square One. It is also family-friendly, boasting parks, bike and walking trails, and man-made lakes.


  1. East Credit

The neighborhood known as East Credit lies on Mavis and Highway 10. It has undergone substantial development over the last two decades as a result of the expansion of Heartland Town Centre.   1. Cooksville

Cooksville is a neighborhood that has been the renter’s go-to area for affordable housing for many years in Mississauga. More recently many of the townhouses and detached homes near The Queensway and Cawthra Road have been bought by investors and upgraded to be more appealing to the broader rental market, which also include families and single professionals. The Cooksville GO station connects commuters to Toronto. The neighborhood is also very well-known for sporting the greatest diversity of shopping venues and restaurants, which gives Mississauga its international flavor.


  1. Churchill Meadows

Churchill meadows is the youngest community in Mississauga, and is one of the fastest growing due to its affordable rental rates. The expansion of many new schools and shopping centres have helped to make this area livable, and developments have quickly followed the promise of these community anchor locations. Many people purchase the detached homes with the aim of making additional rental income to help cover the cost of the mortgage, so there is a large supply of high quality basement apartments for rent in this area at great rates.


  1. Malton

Malton is currently the most affordable of the neighborhoods in Mississauga. It is found in the northeastern corner of the city, and is nearby the airport, Brampton and Toronto. Due to its proximity to many of the industries and businesses off the airport road, the neighborhood has attracted commuters and people new to Canada. Many of its older homes are being remodeled and renovated in an attempt to attract first time renters.
